Shop With Pride

It’s June! Which means summer is here and so is Pride Month!  In honor of Pride month we wanted to highlight a few of our favorite brands that have collaborations benefiting the LGBTQ+ Community.  This is one of the first years where we are seeing a real effort by the fashion industry to dedicate collections that support a community that has been an integral part of fashion evolution.

Let’s start with Calvin Klein, the iconic underwear has been revamped for the collection, adding a rainbow waistband and rainbow accents within the logo. The Pride Campaign is partnership between Calvin Klein and LGBTQ+ artists, musicians and designers. They share their stories and the #proudinmycalvins is being used to promote LGBTQ+ stories and advocacy.  Calvin Klein picked a few important organizations to partner with and donate the proceeds of this collection. The Trevor Project, Transgender Legal Defense & Education Fund and ILGA to name a few.

Donatella Versace has collaborated with the one and only Lady Gaga to launch a Born This Way Collection, where the proceeds are being donated to Lady Gaga's Born This Way Foundation that supports the advocacy of the LGBTQ+ community. Donatella is also a Stonewall ambassador, an organization that since 1990 has been advocating for the rights and well-being of the LGBTQ+ Community around the world.

This last collaboration might be my favorite, Coach has realized the return of classic “C’s” logo and decided to revamp it with an entire collection of bags, clothes and accessories, decorated in rainbow “C’s”. It’s classic yet revitalized and I’m obsessed. Coach is also making donations to the Albert Kennedy Trust, Point Foundation and CenterLink, all organizations that support LGBTQ+ initiatives.

We know that as one of our customers, you are already a conscious shopper, so we wanted to highlight these brands that are making a real effort to support and advocate for the LGBTQ+ Community not just this month but all year round. Happy Pride and Happy Shopping!
