HOW TO DRESS FOR YOUR FALL FESTIVITIES

One of the best parts about the fall season, aside from the crisp mornings and falling leaves, is all of the fun, fall activities that you get to do with your friends and family. And if you are anything like us, you look at these events as a chance to wear some of your cutest outfits. If you have a calendar full of fall festivities this year and need a little bit of outfit inspiration for these festivities, we are here to help!

Pumpkin Patch

A classic fall activity is going to a pumpkin patch to find the best pumpkins you can find to either carve or decorate your house with. Keep in mind that if you are going to a patch that you physically get to pick the pumpkins yourself, you are likely to get a little bit dirty. Avoid clean white sneakers and light-colored tops. Jeans are a safe bet but do not wear your go-to, favorite pair, because you definitely do not want to risk ruining them.

U-Pick Apple Orchard

If you are going on a little bit of a road trip to get to the U-Pick apple orchard, be sure to layer up. Fall is known for chilly mornings and warm afternoons. It is likely that it is going to be significantly colder in the morning when you leave the house, compared to how it will be once you arrive and are in the groove of picking your apples. Things like flannels, leather jackets, and cardigans are great options for layering.

Farmers Flea Market

A farmer’s market is a great way to support your local farmers and economy, get some freshly picked, in-season produce and enjoy some beautiful fall weather. Since you will be on your feet and doing some walking at the farmers market, sneakers are not required but advised. You can dress super casual for this occasion. You can even look at it as an opportunity to dress quite comfortable whether you go for an athleisure look or rock some loungewear!

Winery/Brewery

Probably one of the more “formal” fall actives you can do, a day trip/visit to either a winery or a brewery. This is your chance to wear the fall dress you have been saving to wear or your new pair of fall booties that you ordered a while back. Make sure that no matter what you decide to wear, you dress according to the weather. This is an all-day event so you want to make sure that you are comfortable over anything else, especially if you are going to be outdoors the entire time.

Fall Festival

A cute, fun, fall-themed festival is such a great way to spend a weekend day during the months of fall. This is another occasion that you are going to be spending on your feet and doing a lot of walking. So keep that in mind when you are picking out your fall festival outfit. Also, keep in mind that if you are choosing to layer, you might be making a few small purchases throughout the festival, so you won't have free hands to hold any pieces of clothing you choose to shed throughout the day.
